My Story
Zobens-East Administration was founded on a simple idea: musicians and rights holders shouldn't have to become administrators to get paid fairly for their work.
I saw too many talented artists and too many valuable catalogs losing money — not because the music wasn't good, but because the paperwork behind it wasn't. Registrations missed. Royalties left uncollected. Rights left unclear. I started this consultancy to close that gap.
My Experience
Zobens-East Administration is built on real, hands-on experience inside the music industry.
My background includes 15 years at Warner Chappell Music, working across local copyright, legal and contracts administration, works registrations, development, and global administration. That's given me a deep, practical understanding of how music administration works at every level — from a single songwriter's catalog to global publishing operations.
I've also spent 3 years at a boutique classical publisher, working directly with composers, commissioners, rights societies, international partners, and editors. That experience brought a different kind of precision: the careful, detail-driven administration that classical music and its commissioning relationships demand.
Together, this gives me a rare combination — the scale and systems knowledge of a major publisher, and the personal, detail-oriented care of a boutique house. I bring both to every client, whatever the size of your catalog.
And because I’m also a musician and songwriter myself, I don't just understand the administrative side of the industry — I understand it from your side of the table too. I know what it's like to want the business handled properly so you can get back to writing and performing.
My Approach
I believe good music administration is quiet, thorough, and personal. You shouldn't have to think about it — that's my job. I get to know your catalog, your history, and your goals, and I build my support around that, rather than fitting you into a one-size-fits-all process.
